About Us
Buttercup Children's Trust is a National Registered Charity dedicated to helping children and their families across the UK. Founded in 2009, we have spent years providing support to those who need it most.
Our Registrations
Charity Commission (England & Wales): Registered Charity No: 1128027
OSCR (Scotland): Registration No: SC042679
Our Charitable Objectives
To promote any charitable purpose for the benefit of children in the UK as the trustees in their absolute discretion think fit. In particular, we focus on helping those who are sick or disabled by providing financial assistance to individuals, including holidays for themselves and their families, and supporting the work of other institutions.
We raise funds to support children under the age of 18 and their families who are suffering from the effects of life-hindering illnesses or disabilities.
Our Vision
To ensure that every child facing illness or disability in the UK has the support and resources they need to thrive and enjoy childhood.
Our Values
We are committed to transparency, empathy, and effective action. 100% of our income from donations goes directly to our charitable aims.
How We Support Families
Buttercup Children's Trust exists to ease some of the pressure families experience when a child is facing a serious illness or disability. That support can be practical, emotional and financial. We work with families and professionals to understand what will make the biggest difference, whether that is specialist equipment, funding support, help with essential travel or creating moments of comfort during a very hard period.
We also believe families deserve clear communication and compassionate support. If you are considering applying for help, donating or partnering with us, we want this website to make it easy to understand who we are and how our work is carried out.
